Who We Are: Asset Network for Education Worldwide (ANEW)
ANEW is a 501 non-profit organization dedicated to collecting, organizing and repurposing surplus furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) for donation to the underserved and those who support them.
Why ANEW
We’re environmentally, fiscally, and socially responsible:
- Providing FF&E to schools, non-profit organizations, communities in need and public agencies
- Reusing your FF&E as opposed to sending it to landfills
- Saving your firm money in warehousing and disposal costs and providing you a tax receipt for your donations
- Building social capital + well-being within our communities
How It Works
ANEW makes it simple to be socially responsible:
Inquiry
- You contact us directly for an intake phone conversation
- We issue a simple form that begins the process
- We can take it all – carpet, ceiling, doors, hardware and all furniture
- We conduct a facility walk-through to create an asset assessment for a removal plan and schedule
- We review logistics including building access (ingress and egress) loading dock and elevator scheduling
- We issue a certificate of insurance as required by many office buildings
- You provide tools such as floor plans and inventories (as available) to help develop a budget, scope, schedule and recipient match
Development
- You and ANEW outline the scope of services
- You and ANEW determine the organization(s) to receive donated goods
- We deliver a proposal
- You approve the proposal to commence work!
Action
- Prior to the move, we tag items as agreed for donation
- We manage the removal of goods, conduct community outreach and distribute surplus FF&E to recipients
Close
- We issue a post-completion tax receipt for your donation
- We issue a sustainability certificate of the project highlighting social and environmental responsibility
- We’ll create a custom e-press release (if you would like)
- We provide documentation for your use toward USGBC LEED Certification
